philoSOPHIA: A Society for Transcontinental Feminism invites abstract submissions and workshop proposals for its 2026 conference. philoSOPHIA 2026 explores the topics of time and politics in feminist philosophy. How do we think about time, existentially, politically, and historically? What do reflections on time contribute to the philosophy of gender, sexuality, disability, race, and decolonialism? What does feminism compel us to do in time?
Possible Topics Include (but are not limited to):
● Phenomenology of temporality
● Life stages and aging
● Childhood, adolescence, adulthood
● Crip, queer studies on time
● Ecofeminist thought on future
● Decolonial discussion of time
● Time of crisis, urgency, event
● Black feminism and intersectional approaches to time
● Settler colonial time
● Epistemologies of temporality
● Memory and forgetting
● Timely feminist political resistance
We encourage abstract submissions and workshop proposals to respond to the keyword, and they will be given priority to foster a more robust and lively conversation. All submissions in transcontinental feminist philosophy are welcome.
